We visited The Independence Mine Historical Site on the last day of summer operation. Beautiful day up in Hatcher's Pass to explore an old mining operation. There is evidence in the area of current mining, but not in this mining area.

Hatcher's Pass - October 28, 2015
Tuesday family adventure to play in the snow. James scouted some ski routes for some future hiking-for-turns and we got to test out the kids' snow gear for the season. Meta needs better mittens and Linc needs a way to keep his ski pants from gapping at the ankle and letting snow in his boots. We spent more time driving than playing in the snow, but it was still really fun.
