Point Woronzoff - April 25, 2017

James and the kids went out to Point Woronzoff for an explore while I had a YW presidency meeting. Looks like (cold) fun!

Cardboard box sledding - March 27, 2017

At the elementary school near our apartment. It worked surprisingly well on the packed snow. Whoo hoo!

Alyeska - March 14, 2017

Spring Break means no extra babysitting kids, so we got the Dooley girls (Thomas's big sisters) to watch our kids and went on our first ski date in years. So fun and so cold and my quads ache. I loved it!

See the top of the tram (between our heads) and the Turnagain Arm behind James' right shoulder.

After skiing we used a Christmas gift certificate for our dinner.

Kuparuk Alaska - January 26, 2017

For work, James flew with their Boeing 737 700 up to the North Slope of Alaska. Kuparuk is close to Dead Horse. It is very flat in every direction around Kuparuk, but they flew over an impressive mountain range along the way. It was hazy out, so visibility wasn't great for sightseeing while flying. He still enjoyed riding jump seat in the cockpit.

They took just over 100 workers up and brought almost as many back down. 800 or so miles in an hour and a half, each way.

James was oriented to their maintenance hangar and facilities there. It was about -16 degrees F and a pretty nice day... daylight even!

Alyeska - January 23, 2017

We splurged so that James could have a ski day at Alyeska. It was snowing and fluffy and a great workout!

An hour in the snow - January 9, 2017

James is changing out the starter in the truck in 15ish degree weather. I took the kids to the elementary school playground for an hour.

I'm holding Meta. Then Lincoln, Thomas Dooley and Malachi Ray are in the sled on the ground.
