Mile zero - November 30, 2017

Dawson Creek, British Columbia, Canada. We're getting better at recognizing kilometers, but liters of gasoline is still hard. We drove from Tok all the way to Dawson Creek on the World Famous Alaska Highway.  Now we're onto new roads.

Liard River Hotsprings - November 29, 2017

My biggest bucket list item for this week-long international move was to swim at Liard River Hotsprings. It was positive degrees F, so we did it! We hiked the 1/3 mile through the snow to the hot springs and swam. Then geared back up and walked back to the hotel.  It was awesome.

Lincoln didn't like walking back while wet and cold (who does), but when I asked him if he would do it again. He said yes! Success!  Meta didn't complain a bit, little trooper!

James: "Morning commute to the hot springs before more driving."

Oh Canada - November 27, 2017

The international border between Alaska and the Yukon. Between the United States of America and Canada. It's cold. The sun is shining, but it is cold. We stayed outside just long enough to take a couple pictures. Then back into the car. Where we continued to wear our snow clothes until it finally warmed back up to comfortable temperatures.  But for awhile, when it was -22F outside, I even wore light gloves while driving. Brrr!

James: "It was a balmy -19F at the border today. But we bundled up and braved a few photos. We eventually made it to Teslin and hotel for the night. Gotta love selfies, everything comes out backwards."

Date night - November 21, 2017

We have family in town, so James and I got a date! We went to see Justice League. "You Can't Save the World Alone."  It's a comic book movie, but it is still fun.  I loved all the super hero pose shots in the movie.

Sunday Games - October 22, 2017

Candy Land, Disney Princess version. It was  hand-me-down from some friends.

Portage - October 8, 2017

James: "Fall time family adventure to Portage Valley and Lake. Weather was better than Anchorage"

St. Louis Arch - September 26, 2017

We splurged and bought tickets to ride the elevator to the top of the St. Louis arch. The little elevator cars are tiny. And the view from inside the elevator is all metal and steel. But the view from the top of the arch is pretty awesome. We saw birds flying below.

James: "Our morning before the airport."
