Arches National Park - October 26, 2009

We finally made it into Arches National Park. With less than a day to explore, we mostly looked for arches from The Outlaw, but we did make time for the Delicate Arch Hike - 3 miles round trip.

The trailhead to Delicate Arch is located at the historic Wolfe Cabin homestead. Can you spot the Ute Indian Petrolyphs on the rocks in the background?

On our way out of the park, we took a single-lane dirt road called Willow Flats Road. It was about 4 miles of bumpy, rocky, sandy road to the border of the park, then another 3 or 4 miles to the highway. Just outside the park, I came across a sign titled "Footprints in the Shores of Time."

And located dinosaur footprints!

And James finally, finally got to do a tiny bit of mountain biking along Willow Flats Road.

We made it back home after dark, just in time to unload the car and go to bed. Happy Adventuring!
