Thanks for the ride to the airport, Opa! Love you, Bye!
Whew! Made it through security. Oma packed some snacks for Lincoln and the security people had to open Linc's chocolate milk to confirm that the sealed, brand new packaging did contain chocolate milk. Don't lose the boarding passes!
Mmmm. Grapes!
Exploring the Boise Airport
Toys! Hooray for a kid-friendly airport
There's the plane! Lincoln's first ever airplane ride.
Oma and Linc had to go outside onto the tarmac, check the stroller and then up the ramp to the airplane.
Little boy in a big seat - Lincoln knows what seat belts are!
Safe on the ground in Seattle, collected the stroller and taking Bear inside.
See the plane? Airplane! It's a plane!
Watching out the window at the Seattle Airport.
The flight from Seattle to Anchorage takes about 3 hours and this flight happened to be during nap time. Oma and Lincoln had the entire row to themselves - lucky! Linc's eyes closed as the plane sped down the runway to take off and he was asleep before they reached altitude.
Oma's seat-mate took a 3-hour nap, stretched across two airplane seats. What a great traveler!
Made it to the Anchorage Airport - We're in Alaska! One more flight to go!
Video of Lincoln in the Anchorage Airport - pointing out the model airplanes hanging from the ceiling.
What is there to do at the Anchorage Airport? Look out the window... Airplane! See the plane! It's a plane! Airplane!
Play with the hack-y-sack from the backpack of travel distractions that Oma packed. Oma packed all sorts of things, crayons, books, a family of plastic moose, a ball, snacks.... Lincoln played with some things, but he really enjoyed exploring and looking out the window at all the airplanes.
Going down the ramp to the last airplane ride. Come on, Oma!
While waiting to take off, Oma and the Flight Attendant chatted for a bit. When it was time to give announcements, the Flight Attendant mentioned Lincoln by name and told everyone on the plane that Lincoln was moving to Alaska and that Lincoln and his grandma were flying to Cordova to meet up with Lincoln's parents. Personal service!
Yay! Finally made it to the 4th airport of the day. The McCalvy family is together again!
Look who else met Lincoln at the airport in Cordova - it's Grandma!
Lincoln and Oma flew from the Boise Airport to Cordova in one day! They flew from Boise to Seattle, from Seattle to Anchorage and from Anchorage to Cordova. 2003 air miles in three different airplanes.
