It was a beautiful day, so we walked out to Boy Scout Island before heading along the shore to Grandpa and Grandma's house. We think we heard sea lions out on this island after dark in the Fall, but with a coating of snow, we don't have any evidence of that. It's a really small island not too far off shore. I'm sure there is a story behind it's name, but I haven't heard it yet. Lincoln and Daddy standing on the island - didn't take us very long to summit!
Walking away from the island, toward Grandma's. You can see the far lake shore and the little island behind James and Linc. Even with all that blue sky, the sun was behind clouds on the horizon, so we didn't get any direct sunshine on our walk.
Our adventure took place when Lincoln should have been napping. Asking to play outside on a beautiful day is apparently a really good way of getting out of nap time. It worked for Lincoln today. But he still fell asleep in Daddy's arms. Snug and safe - but his hands did get a little chilly in his socks - why won't Linc wear mittens?
