After we checked into our St. Louis hotel, we went to the zoo. The zoo is free, but some attractions, like the train, cost money. We took the very last train of the day so that we could see a bit more of the zoo. It was great to be somewhere with lots of trees and shade on such a hot day.
After the zoo closed, we explored the huge park that it is inside. We found this amazing metal animals statue and played there for awhile. The park is the Forest Park and it hosted the 1904 World's Fair.
After exploring just a little bit of St. Louis, we want to come back again!
