Eagle River Nature Center - July 31, 2017

It's a "chandelier" in the Anchorage Library lobby.  When you stand directly underneath and look up, there's a mirror. Hi family!

Deadhorse - July 12-19, 2017

James is working "off site" for a week. From Wednesday July 12 - Wednesday July 19th. He is filling in for the mechanic who normally works a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off schedule at Deadhorse, but is currently on vacation. The first week was covered by another mechanic and the second week by James. It may not come up again for James to be based away from Anchorage, but it has been an interesting trip!

James is staying in a tiny room for the week and watching over his company's planes that land and take off there.   He's been able to visit the "town" of Deadhorse - where there is a general store and other businesses. You can actually drive to Deadhorse at the end of the Dalton Highway - which is basically a big dirt road that follows the Alaska pipeline.  They also drove out to Kuparuk (about 30 miles away) - which is the other airbase that James occasionally flies to with his job. He didn't get to visit Prudhoe Bay, but he took a picture of a t-shirt.  He has seen caribou, musk oxen and birds.

McCalvy/Wolske Wedding - July 7, 2017

James saw this bill on the drive home from work. 1 in the morning, strolling down Northern Lights Blvd. Check out the shadow! (James drove by himself to Glacier View the day of the wedding, kids and I were already there.)

One of my favorite photos from Beth's wedding is the McCalvy siblings. (I knitted Beth's shawl)

Lincoln was their ring bearer. So handsome!

Meta and Makaylis were flower girls. So pretty in lavender.  James and Brian walked them down the aisle.

My job was the official photo assistant (meaning I stood around and fluffed Beth's dress a bunch of times and looked for random things like sticks that would ruin the pictures).
