Date night - November 21, 2017

We have family in town, so James and I got a date! We went to see Justice League. "You Can't Save the World Alone."  It's a comic book movie, but it is still fun.  I loved all the super hero pose shots in the movie.

Sunday Games - October 22, 2017

Candy Land, Disney Princess version. It was  hand-me-down from some friends.

Portage - October 8, 2017

James: "Fall time family adventure to Portage Valley and Lake. Weather was better than Anchorage"

St. Louis Arch - September 26, 2017

We splurged and bought tickets to ride the elevator to the top of the St. Louis arch. The little elevator cars are tiny. And the view from inside the elevator is all metal and steel. But the view from the top of the arch is pretty awesome. We saw birds flying below.

James: "Our morning before the airport."

St. Louis Zoo - September 25, 2018

After we checked into our St. Louis hotel, we went to the zoo. The zoo is free, but some attractions, like the train, cost money. We took the very last train of the day so that we could see a bit more of the zoo.  It was great to be somewhere with lots of trees and shade on such a hot day.

After the zoo closed, we explored the huge park that it is inside. We found this amazing metal animals statue and played there for awhile.  The park is the Forest Park and it hosted the 1904 World's Fair.

After exploring just a little bit of St. Louis, we want to come back again!

James's Mission Area - September 24, 2017

Meghan (scrubs) and Annaliese, mission friends. They're sisters who investigated the church while James was a missionary. We were able to have lunch with Annaliese and visit Meghan at work, briefly.

We spent Sunday morning exploring part of James's mission area. He served in Louisville, Kentucky in .... what years?

We saw several areas where he served and hiked for a bit at a ski hill he remembered, but didn't get to ski.  On our way back to connect with family for dinner together, we stopped in Lincoln City, Indiana. We didn't have time to explore the Lincoln Boyhood National Monument, but we did get a sign picture.

This trip was amazing fun. We did so many things!

Louisville - September 23, 2017

We made it to the Louisville Cardinal's game at halftime.  Due to the timezone change that we didn't think about, we were running behind when we left the camper.  But we made it to the game and found some shade.

When we checked into our hotel, we learned that the swimming pool was closed.  The hotel clerk saw us trying to explain to our kids and arranged for us to go swimming at the non-affiliated hotel across the parking lot. Happy kids!

James: " We forgot (didn't even think about) the fact that we were changing time zones (again) from Central Time Zone to Easter Time Zone going from Evansville, IN to Louisville, KY on our way to watch the Louisville Cardinals play (thump) the Kent State Flash.  So while flipping through radio stations, I came across our game playing already.  My watch still had the right time but the car and phones had all switched. We made it by halftime.  There were a lot of people leaving already. "
