New Truck - April 9, 2018

We drove to Seattle on Sunday night and stayed in a hotel (yay! pool!)

On Monday morning we went to check out truck #1. It turned out to not be our truck and we went to a nearby playground to see what other trucks were in the area.

Thankfully, the #2 truck turned out to be the #1 truck and after much paperwork and food stops and gas stations and lots more driving, we got home with a new-to-us 2006 Toyota Tundra with an extended cab for 2 carseats and a booster. It also has a camper shell for hauling around camping gear and skis.

Lincoln likes the moon roof feature.

Bogus Basin - March 30-31, 2018

On Friday night, we celebrated Easter with an Easter Egg hunt on the Magic Carpet at Bogus Basin with all the cousins. So much fun! Meta's first time skiing all by herself. Now we know she is motivated by chocolate and candy. Surprise, surprise.

Lincoln is also showing off some good skills: stopping skating, stepping - all for Easter eggs and after skiing a bunch this afternoon.

Saturday was day 2 of skiing! Lincoln is going strong. We slept in the motorhome last night. Meta didn't want to ski again, so she spent all day with Oma at the motorhome.

Sunny morning - March 9, 2018

While we're a one car family, Lincoln and Meta and I walk Lincoln to and from school.  This morning, it was very sunny.

Bend Statues and Karate Kid - March 6, 2018

In Bend, there are statues in the center of most round-abouts and other places. Like this horses sculpture made out of reclaimed metals (shovels, golf clubs, a sewing machine, spoons, etc.) near the river.

We wandered along the Deschutes River and watched ducks, threw rocks and checked the water temperature.  One bank is sunny and only has patches of snow or mud in the shade. The other bank still has snow patches and slush/ice on the water.

In the summertime, Farewell Bend Park is the put in for floating the Deschutes River through town. It is mostly very flat, but there is a whitewater section for a bit of fun before the takeout.

James carried both barefoot kids and got the car unlocked and Linc's door open. All I had to do was get Meta buckled once she bounced across the seat to her car seat.

Night skiing Hoodoo - February 23, 2018

Friday night skiing - ward ski night.  Forgot Lincoln's coat, so he's wearing the big jacket I brought for me.

"Baggy is still in right?  This kid is so steezy, the lifties loved it.  We actually forgot his coat, so we improvised with Jess's hoody and jacket.  We had a good time riding at Hoodoo."
