A HUGE thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you to everyone who helped us move - Uncle Glen, Craig, Brett, Jason, Grandma, Granddad & Wells Cargo. Especially since it was Saturday & there was snowboarding to be done! We loaded Grandma & Granddad's car up with clothes, loaded the Wells Cargo trailer up with furnature and boxes, loaded The Outlaw & Little Blue up with miscellaneous everything else and headed down the road to our new apartment in North Salt Lake.
They almost had us unloaded before lunch - thank goodness the Papa John's pizza arrived before they were through - I didn't want my generous helpers to go without pizza & rootbeer! Grandma got my kitchen put together & the guys got our bed & couch/futon put together before they left, so now we just need to unpack and figure out where to store all this stuff! Thank goodness for lots of closet space!
HOORAY for my James. He broke down all the moving boxes (the ones not worth keeping) and hauled them and our garbage out to the dumpster. MY HERO!
It is a cute little 2-bedroom 1-bath apartment in a 4-plex. Ours is the upper left apartment (without the bicycle on the porch). The upstairs units have higher ceilings. It has a fireplace in the livingroom and a laundry room and a back porch. It is small, but clean and in good condition and I LOVE the fireplace, having laundry inside the apartment, and it is only 7 miles to work! About 14 miles to James' work - beats a 45 mile commute!
This is the view from our back porch - spare lot for the apartments nearby, the freeway, and an oil refinery. Thank goodness for good windows that keep out the noise! Actually, at night the view is really pretty. Just lights in the darkness.
When we arrived at the apartment to begin moving in, there was a package propped against the front door. It was from James' parents in Alaska and it included the beautiful "Welcome Friends" sign at the beginning of this post - what a fun housewarming gift. THANK YOU!
