A cell-phone photo snapshot from our Sunday drive.

Saturday and Sunday were General Conference. We were very good and watched Saturday morning conference at home. Then we went to Ogden for a little consult with my favorite auto mechanic - Uncle Glen. During afternoon conference, he helped James get the locking lugnuts (the key is lost) off of The Outlaw and rotate the tires. Then James bought some new ones - too small. Later, we had the correct size of locking lugnuts and one stripped bolt and one brand new one. Sigh. A project for another weekend - getting the stripped bolt off The Outlaw and replacing it so that all lugnuts can be secured.
Sunday morning conference we also watched at home and then went for a drive for afternoon conference. From our house, we went north on Highway 89 past Lagoon and along the foothills on the east side of Hill AFB and Layton and South Weber. Then we took I-84 East - the same freeway I would take to Park City during the Olympics in 2002. We stopped and looked at the "Devil's Slide". When we were almost to the junction with I-80, we discovered that Evanston, WY was only another 30 miles up the freeway. So we drove to Evanston and explored the River Walk - a greenbelt along the Bear River. We saw a river otter playing along the far side of the river and disappearing into the rocks - perhaps my first river otter sighting. We explored the Historic Depot Square with the old train depot, a random red telephone booth from London, England, a chinese pagoda and unfinished garden, a statue of a buffalo and a Lincoln Highway marker. Finally we took I-80 back past Park City and through Salt Lake and home again.
